Getting paid for blogging

Entry ray kali ni bukanlah untuk memberi petua ke hape ke as if pandai sangat dalam dunia blogging ni. It's more like sharing an info tentang blogging.

Ray start blogging since 2007. The intention was to share moments & pictures with friends. Honestly, after awhile ray blogging...ray mula rasa mcm there's nothing interesting about my daily routine life at all. I started making fun of  my friends in most of my entries. LOL. Out of boredom I guess. Ray juga start blogging about a friend, Dafi sebab nak promote his FC and his career as an artist. Because of him, I have the chance of meeting interesting people behind Malaysian entertainment industry and people dalam dunia kewartawanan.

As you blog, you find out that others (besides your friends) actually read your blog. Then, you start wondering..."ada jugak yang baca blog den ni ha!". Ada juga yang tegur ray diluar sana...dan bagitau ray that they read my blog. ( can u imagine how it feels?)

Bila masuk blog kawan2 blogger yang lain, ray perasan..semua ada Nuffnang. Apa kemendanya Nuffnang ni? To my findings, it's an advertisement yg kita paste letak kat blog kita. Bila orang klik advert tu...u will get paid. So kerana nak mengikut punya pasal, ray pun daftar dan tepek la advert Nuffnang kat blog ray ni. Oh! ada cara nak buat duit with blogging....(baru den tahu!)

Ray pun teruskan la menulis menda2 merepek kat my blog ni mcm biasa. On certain occasion, I was invited to pra tonton filem, launching and event etc. So, ray pun mula menulis pasal filem dan event2 yg ray sertai. Tayangan Unggul, KRU, Grand Brilliance, Astro antara yg rajin menjemput. Tapi sebab kesibukan, tgk la mana satu yg ray boleh pergi. The person yg membawa ray ke dunia pra tonton filem ialah Ajami Hashim (nama manja Uncle). 

Awal tahun lepas 2009, a reporter from Kosmo...Li Shian called me to do a write up about my blog. I find it  very amusing. Azim (a reporter friend) give an info about my blog to her...she actually drop by and read my blog. Pelik jugak someone would be interested to write about my blog. In February 2009, this blog was featured in ruangan Tamu Blogger sisipan Infiniti dalam akhbar Kosmo. Since then, traffic pembaca blog ni slightly increased. 

Awal tahun 2010, I was approached by someone bertanya sama ada ray berminat utk buat advertorial entries in my blog. I don't know...what the hell is that ! Advertorial? Before this ada yg drop komen kat comments...asking me tapi ray ignore it thinking that...it's a spam. Mesti ada trick tertentu nieh...ada udang sebalik mee jawa..rasanya.

I was approached again via sms (a blogger friend WENKT must have given her my number). So, what the heck...I reply her sms and tell her that I am interested. I give her my details via email...blog traffic etc. Few days later, I have got my first job writing an advertorial. The agent even tell me how much that I will get paid for writing few entries. walauweiiii...terkejut jugak as I never expected to get paid for blogging.

Advertorial ialah pengiklanan melalui penulisan blog. They give you the bahan....you investigate and write about it dalam bentuk review. Antara advertorial yg pernah ray buat ialah iTalkWhoa, TM, Celcom, Nokia &  Blackberry Torch.

Tu lah dia...sejarah ringkasnya. If you have loyal readers and have good traffic, your blog layak utk buat advertorial and get paid for it. Now...I understand why laaa...ramai bloggers sibuk nak up kan traffic blog masing2. Kunci utama before you can actually buat advertorial in your blog.

I never actually plan for all these. I just write about everything for the sake of killing time and doing what I like best. 

I owe it all  to all my blogger friends, loyal readers and visitors. Juga pada blog yang banyak refer my blog in their own blog. Thank you very much !
